4/17- Reds vs. Pirates, Day 3 with no BP

    Stubbs 8
    Cairo 4
    Votto 3
    Rolen 5
    Gomes 7
    Bruce 9
    Hernandez 2

    Why no RR at 2B?

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

When he was first signed, I used ER, but everyone else seemed to use RR, presumably for RenteRia, so I went with it. It didn't make much sense to me, but when in Rome...

RR has played 4 innings at 2B in his MLB life, all this year.

He's the backup SS and will only be used at2sB and 3B in an emergency or mop up duty (like yesterday).

A bit surprised Rolen's in there, but I guess with BP out Dusty figures he needs him.

Why? Rolen sat out yesterday's game.

Same old Edinson... hope he can make it through the first.

Here we go again. back to back jacks to start the game. 2-0 Pirates.

I DO hope he turns it around and rights the ship....but how many times do we have to see this before we take steps? But he's our best starter...right?

Runs are runs, no matter when they score them. Volquez is simply putting his team in a bind each game he starts. This is just ludicrous. Two HR's and a walk so far.

Not so far. Far from it. Now a double and no outs. Great Goodness!

EV should pitch for the Dodgers, since their crowd always shows up fashionably late. They wouldn't be subjected to these first inning crap.
