    Volquez & PEDs

Please go back on whatever you were taking a few seasons ago.

Unbelievable. Last start volquez looked as good as he ever looked after he settled down. Until cueto and bailey come back, we have to live with these nightmare first innings and take the good with the bad.

Don't look now but he's in line for the win again today...pitching into the 6th inning.

I know it's a long season, but how many times does Volquez have to implode before it becomes a serious problem? Does the "Ace" have any options left? Bullpen? Let him "work through it"? Any answers?

He obviously still has his stuff, just needs to fix his starts. Arroyo did this a few years ago as well.

That was 2 starts over the course of a season. Not 2 out of his first 4 starts.

This is who Volquez is and is what he will be, unfortunately. He's not a spring chicken anymore and he's never been able to figure it out, save for half of one season.

I think the "fist inning bug" is in his head now. It's mental rather that physical, and the more "things" he tries to fix it, the longer it's likely to go on. He just needs to shake it off and get refocused.

Maybe he needs another cameo role in a cool music video.
