I think Grandal is/was underrated by too many on RZ.

It is April and low A. Those errors are going to happen to 95% of the shortstops that come through that league.

Doubtful. Cody Puckett is pretty (fly for a) white (guy).

Quick rundown on who's had a good start, by league:

Davin Mesoraco ranks third in the International League with a 697 slugging percentage. His OPS ranks 5th in the league as well.

Both Dave Sappelt and Jeremy Hermida are also in the Top 25 in OPS in AAA.

Dontrelle Willis has a 0.00 ERA (which obviously leads the league) and he's also in the Top 10 in WHIP.

Scott Carroll is in the Top Ten in K's.

Cody Puckett ranks 2nd in OPS in the Southern League and tops the league in on-base percentage.

As to OPS, Jake Kahualeho (sp) is also in the Top Ten. Mike Costanzo ranks in the Top 25.

Darryl Thompson is tied for 5th in AA Southern League with 15 K's so far on the young season.

In Bakersfield, Eric Campbel is killing the competition, leading the league so far in BA, OBP, and OPS. For OPS, Yasmani Grandal, Josh Fellhauer, Andrew (AJ) Means, and Henry Rodriguez are all in the Top 25 in the league (High A California League) as well. Grandal is 3rd in the league in slugging and Means in in the Top Ten, too. Lots of hitting in that park, though, so take it with a grain of salt. (Still, better to be hitting the ball a lot than not at all.)

That's why Josh Ravin looks so good this early, posting Top Ten ranks in ERA, K's, and WHIP, all at Bakersfield. Nice job, that.

Two 1B are performing well in Dayton, with Dominic D'Anna having a solid (6th in the league so far) BA and Donald Lutz third in slugging percentage. Both are in the Top 25 for their league. Hamilton leads the known world in SBs, with 14.

Josh Smith is in the Top 10 in Low A Midwest League in WHIP and K's, and a whole host of Dayton guys (Doyle, Corcino, and Renken) are also throwing up Top 25-ish K numbers.
