Okay here's where I have to take issue. This year Votto's OPS with RISP is 1.421. Last year it was 1.129.

Scroll down, check out Clutch Stats. His OPS in every close situation (game within four runs) was over 1.000. In Late & Close, it was 1.138 (this year, Late & Close is 1.200, but it's such a small sample size I don't want to use it in this argument). I don't put much, if any, stock into someone being "clutch", but if there ever was someone who was clutch, it's Votto.

I will say it again, I thought you meant overall, not this 16 game season that is way too short to determine if a player is "clutch" or not. Look at the careers.

How about RISP with us trailing? again, most of those came from all the blowouts we had earlier this season
