The Great Lakes center fielder almost gets hit by a line drive he lost in the sun that goes for an RBI "double". Dayton up 2-0.

Is it just the camera angle, or is Cueto throwing a curveball tonight? He hasn't thrown a curveball before this year.

Cueto is pitching batting practice. It could be a long night.

Tim Crabbe loses his no hitter with 2 outs in the 5th inning on a ball up the middle. Billy Hamilton made a great diving stop on the ball, but should have probably held onto the throw. He sailed it wide of the bag, then Tucker Barnhart threw it into center field and the runner got to third. Next hitter grounded out to end the inning.

Carolina has a rare, very rare, 2-0 lead after one. Dallas Buck on the hill for the Mudcats.

After two, 2-0 Carolina. Mudcats left the bases loaded in the second. This has been one of their biggest issues, not getting the timely hit when it would make a big difference. Too many LOB.

Tied up 2-2. Buck has lost some of his aggressiveness.

Now 11-1 Columbus. 1 out in the 3rd.

I'm beginning to lose my optimism.
