Clipper Chad Huffman has hit his 3rd HR of the night. He has 9 RBIs.
Score, if anyone cares, is now 19-3.

Nick Christiani in to try and close it for the Mudcats. One down in the ninth. Two more...please.
Carolina wins number three! 3-11 on the year. Maybe this will be the beginning of a little life.
Cast is off Soto's wrist. Could be back in about 10 days.
Not a pretty game tonight. Too bad Corky was catching - if he was on the bench, I think Sweet would have pitched him instead of Griffin. He said he was next in line after Cochran on Wednesday, so probably the second time this week he came close to taking the mound. I want to see that happen SO much....
Grandal has his fourth HR and Bakersfield leads 5-0 after four behind Lance Janke, of all people.
Yikes, Grandal homered again. It's 7-0 in the sixth. Eric Campbell also has three hits. Janke has fanned seven through five very fine innings.
Janke went six hitless innings with eight strikeouts. Inland Empire scored off Tyree Hayes in the seventh. It's 8-1. Grandal is four for four. Andrew Means, batting .404, left the game after being hit by a pitch on the arm.
Now, Stephen Hunt just hit second home run in his first two games to make it 10-1.
Inland Empire finally gets a hit and one run in the 7th off Tyree Hayes.
Now 10-1 in the 8th for Bakersfield.

Heck of a game for Grandal...4-for-4 with two home runs (#4, 5), a double, walk, and HBP. On base in all six plate appearances. He's now hitting .341 with a 1.258 OPS in 54 plate appearances. It probably won't be long before he's in Double-A.

Well, say what you want about pitching depth, but our catching depth is off the charts!
