Friday - 4/22/11 Minor League Updates

Dayton is underway and on Milb.tv if you have a subscription.

Billy Hamilton struck out swinging to lead off the game with a bad swing after showing some good patience through the first 5 pitches of the at bat.

Dayton is tied at 1 in the second. Great Lakes got their run on a single, steal with a throw into CF that advanced the runner to third and then a wild pitch scored the run. Dayton got a Lutz single, sac bunt, ground ball to the right side and a single to get their run.

Bakersfield scored six in the first on two hits. One of them was a bases-clearing double by Henry Rodriguez. Five walks were involved.

Carolina lost. They are now 3-13 on the year. Not a good start at all.

Starting to love that Bakersfield team. It's now 11-1 after six. Stephen Hunt has homered in each of his first three games. The Blaze has outhit Inland Empire by the same 11-1 margin. Last night they outhit them 14-3.

Edit: Oops, missed the previous post.
