    Sunday 4/24/2011 Minor League Updates

The Bats will take on the Mudhens at 2 with the following lineup:

    Sappelt 8
    Cozart 6
    Alonso DH
    Frazier 7
    Miller 2
    Griffin 5
    Eymann 3
    Negron 4
    Barton 9

    Bailey 1

No Dorn for the second game in a row. Not sure what is going on with that.

Yet another lefty starter for Toledo, would be my guess.

edit: Bats announcer just said Danny is attending to some personal business.

    Bailey 4 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 4K. 52 Pitches, 35 Strikes.

I hope they stop him at 65 or 70 pitches. I think its more important that he can come back on regular rest next time than to push the pitch count higher. They can move it up when he's cleared that hurdle.

I am pretty sure he is gong 75 pitches or 6 innings. Whichever comes first.

Bailey with 4 shutout innings with only one walk and 4 K's. Might his next start be in Cincinnati?

Sappelt is now 3-for-3 with a double.

I think he needs at least one more start. He needs to show he can come back on regular rest and pitch at full strength. He had to get 2 extra days before this one.
