Kind of expected. Thanks for the info. This should open up some RBI's for Gomes but I hope he remains patient at the plate.

What does Todd Frazier have to do to get a call up?

I believe he has in the past. Cairo, Janish and Renteria all will have to step up.

EDIT: Janish is credited with 13 MLB games at 3B. No errors in 25 chances there.

I hope he's back soon. Last year we didn't have to deal with alot of injuries. You could tell watching him this past week that something was off with him.

He is too valuable at short in my opinion.

Renteria/Cairo would make a lot more sense defensively there.

Hit higher than his weight in triple A.

He's hitting 228 and he's listed at 220, so I guess we will be seeing him soon.

Ive seen alot of suggestions of Reteria playing 3rd. Id be surprised if it happens as he told Dusty that he did not feel comfortable playing third. See here: http://cincinnati.com/blogs/reds/201...-mix-at-third/

I agree that this should be on the table as an option.

How Janish transmogriphied from reserve IF to All-Star SS who can't be moved from that position is pretty amazing.

The point is that he isn't hitting very well this year and he hit .258 last year and had 127 SO with 45 BB, while he did hit 17 HR last year that is not enough to make up for that average.
