    He had yesterday off. It seems like the kind of series that you'd want him out there every day.

    He hasn't really done much the last week, so getting some extra time off is for the best.

    Any word on the status of this game? The radar looks brutal right now and they're calling for severe weather tonight.

    Perhaps not the best night for a Volquez start. Being down 4-0 with a threat of a 5-inning weather-shortened game isn't something I look forward to.

    Looking at the radar, it looks like the game might be delayed some but the line of thunderstorms is thin so I think they will get the game in tonight.

    Gameday just switched McClellan to Miguel Batista. I wonder what's up.

    ESPN has switched it to Batista too.

    Welsh and Brantley said this may be a move LaRussa made because he does not want to waste a starter on a game that may be delayed after an inning or 2.
