Bailey has gone 6 innings so far in Louisville on 85 pitches, 5 hits, 1 ER so far. He still looked relaxed in the 6th and hopefully they'll let him get up into the 90's (pitches) before they pull him. He is on 5 days rest today too.

Wood will be gone when Bailey and or Cueto are back.

Volquez has given up 1 run?

I agree in regards to Wood. As for Volquez...batters can't hit him. I'm not going to argue that AT ALL. His stuff is great. But he can't locate it. He is incapable of going even remotely deep in a game until he can. I like to see close to a 2-1 ratio in strikes to balls from my starters. He's almost always on the opposite side of 50/50. Tonight, thus far...20 strikes, 24 balls. 1 hit. But 4 walks. Those count as baserunners too. But it's the pitch count and flirting with danger that's the problem. Not to mention the additional strain on the bullpen.

Well I don't disagree with any of this. You're right on.

Cairo flies out to right for the first out.

Hanley with a web gem. WOW. Ramon's gone.

Janish! Another double! I thought that was gone for sure.

What is that, 3 doubles in the last 2 or 3 games now? He's been swinging VERY well the last few games. Plus he's gotten robbed 2 or 3 times on some scorched liners right at infielders.

That was a nice play for him, but that's the very end of his range toward third. IMO Janish has quicker feet and would have had that standing up. Still a very nice play especially if you consider the bat that guy carries.

He runs alot better than it looks like he would. But I agree. Great hustling right out of the box.
