Single to left for Infante. He's got both Marlins' hits.

Homer was pulled after 91 pitches in Louisville. Another good outing: 6.1 IP, 5 hits, 1 ER, 2 BBs, 6 Ks. Not sure how good the Norfolk offense is, but he looked very relaxed and was throwing first pitch strikes...I have no idea how his velocity is since neither Gameday or MiLB.TV have pitch FX, but he appears to be at his normal velocity. I think pulling him after 91 is treating him with kid gloves, but really I'm hoping to have these guys (Bailey & Cueto) at their best in the SECOND half of the season so I won't complain.

Looking MUCH better this inning thus far. He's in the zone consistently now.

Deep flyout to Gomes. Right at the wall. Nice play. Infante jogs back to 1st. 2 down for Stanton.

There goes my favorite quote: 'That guy comes to play every day!' Well, who doesn't? Do the rest of them come for the sunshine? The stimulating conversation?

Chris W waxing poetic about Gomes being a complete ball player and the broadcast team arguing he's played a great defensive left field most of last year and this one...

How can one watch that much baseball and have statements like that roll so easily off of their tongues?

Another deep drive, but this time Stubbs runs it down. 1-0 it stays.

Well, you could listen to WLW and Brantley waxing poetic about how many scoops of ice cream he'll eat in one sitting at UDF. Pick your poison.

Thom's the one that started that nonsense last year, and keeps piling it on about what a complete, true baseball player Gomes is. Sometimes I wish he would just propose to Gomes already.

Stubbs grounds out to 3rd. Close, but not close enough. 1 down.
