FWIW Welsh always acted as if Dunn wasn't all that bad out there either.Chris was a pitcher so maybe he sees Gomes lunging at ball to catch them at the last second and just automatically thinks they're great catches.Dunn usually couldn't even do that.I'm not sure what Thoms excuse is.

About time for an MVP at bat.

Brandon K's swinging. It was ball 4 too.

Both runners were going by the way. So men on 2nd & 3rd now.

If Gomes strikes out here he should be fired. It doesn't matter how good his defense is.

Yea, that wasn't even close. But the runners went, so they're on 2nd and 3rd now at least.

Gomes' new approach probably isn't as good as his old approach.
"This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. Zach Cozart finally warming up in Louisville. He just got his 4th double of the night! 5-for-5 with 4 doubles and a Homer.
