From the Bats twitter account ...

    http://twitter.com/#!/LouisvilleBats

Dave Sappelt is not in the lineup today and is listed as day-to-day.
Sweet has given us no specific detail on what Sappelt's injury is, we just know it's not serious.

Jose Arredondo is making his second rehab appearance with Louisville. He threw two perfect innings (2 K's) in his first appearance.

He K's the first batter he faces but he reaches on a wild pitch.

After the wild pitch on the K, Arredo gets a force out at 2nd base, a single, and another K. Two outs.

    Now a 2-run double.

Mudcats give Muddie another win 4-1. Muddie must go to every game now. That's the only answer.

By the way. The Red placed right-handed pitcher Justin Lehr on the 7-day disabled list with nerve irritation. The Reds have also signed left-handed pitcher James Adkins and placed him with the Mudcats.

But as a Giants scout I spoke with told me, "While he's improved, if you ever have a really bad day and just want to go to the ballpark, have a beer, and laugh your *** off for 3 hours, go watch Yonder Alonso play left field."

I've been following this carefully too. Goya or somebody else, can you give us a real read on how likely it is Yonder can play LF in Cinti?

Dayton and Louisville both lost 5-2. Jaren Matthews homered for the Dragons, who gave up four unearned runs behind Tanner Robles. Dayton had won 12 of its last 13.

He's not terrible with balls he gets to but he's very slow and doesn't take good routes. Balls get by him that should not get by an outfielder.

Thanks. How would you compare him to Gomes?
