    The Big Red Machine Today

In today's market, what would be the payroll of the BRM? Possibly the greatest baseball team ever assembled. It's certain that we as an organization would not be able to afford that team today. But instead, do what we have been doing and developing our Minor League Players like we have with Stubbs, Bruce, Votto, Janish and Valaika.

OK. I'd like to try and start this. Assuming today's market, and that most of the 75/76 regulars were in the middle (or early middle) of long-term contracts:

    Bench: 20 mil
    Perez: 15 mil
    Morgan: 16 mil
    Concepcion: 11 mil
    Rose: 18 mil
    Foster: 10 mil
    Geronimo: 7 mil
    Griffey: 7 mil

    Just a round-ball estimate
    Huh? Huh-uh. Oh yeah, uh-huh.

Bench-20 mil I concur greatest Catcher in baseball
Perez-13.5 mil best RBI machine in baseball
    Morgan-12 mil MVP
Rose-8 mil leadoff and heart of the team
Concepcion-5 mil you really think his offense is going to get him 11 mil?
Griffey-5 mil, he is not Jr.
Foster-3.5 mil, up and coming slugger in 75/76
Geronimo-2 mil clearly the weakest link
    Driessan-1.2 mil

Gullet-13 mil Ace constant 15 game winner

Geronimo 2 million? Please, he would be making anywhere from 5-7 million per season, look around what CF's are making today and he is better then a alot of them.

I don't think Foster or Geronimo had really done much before 75. I'd say max $5mil for both of them.

Bench would have been after a Pujols like contract around that time, which would have crippled the Reds a few years later.
