    Votto and Phillips had great Aprils. They're cooling off, Rolen is out, Gomes is tanking. The counted-on improvements from Bruce and Stubbs have not shown up.

    A spark is needed, and I don't see it on the roster.

    Right now, any pitcher with an ERA over 6 is looking forward to facing the Reds in order to get that number down.
