Forgive me, but just take an objective look at the Reds' lineup today. If you think that's a division winning lineup, I disagree.

The pitching is terrible. The starters' ERA is next to last in the league.

But the lineup needs work too.

A good lineup scores 8 against this pitcher today.
The Reds were 15-15 on May 8th last year. They went 18-11 in May with starting pitching leading the way. The offense is still at the top of the league in most categories. This is the same team but without the same performance from starting pitchers thus far. If Cueto and Bailey can help stabilize the rotation the offense will provide enough runs to win games.

I'm calling it now. Valaika is hitting for the cycle today.

Suddenly Cueto is the best pitcher.

I thought Arroyo was the best pitcher. Or Volquez.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Perhaps we should start looking ahead to 2012?

Huh? Statistically Cueto was the Reds best pitcher last year with Arroyo right behind him.

Reds fail to score again. Somebody let me know when this game becomes the offense's fault.

Yes, it is tough to break through against Sandy Koufax without going through the lineup a few times.

It's not the Astros. They just got their fifth hit, a line drive single.

Would you trade the Reds lineup for the Astros?
