Based on today's outing, how many takes do you think that took? Or did they give up and use effects and editing?

I find this commercial comical on a couple of different levels. Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican Holiday and he is Cuban. They are playing him off like he is celebrating his native independence day. It would be like Joey Votto doing a 4th of July Pepto Bismal commercial.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was thinking this.

What I find funny is I've got 2 Mexican employees (plus I asked 3 Mexican customers today) and not one of them knew what Cinco de Mayo was for (other than for getting drunk). 3 of them said Mexican independence day...with a question mark. :O) It's not really celebrated in Mexico either (other than in Pueblo)...mainly just the US.

Mexican Independence Day is September 16. Cinco de Mayo is an American Holiday started by Mexican Americans (& Drunks). It has little meaning in Mexico.

    Back to Baseball.

Yeah...I know this...but I find it amazing how many Mexicans here in Texas don't have a clue what it's for. (it's actually supposed to commemorate a military victory over the French...don't recall the details)
