Why didn't Gomes get into a rundown and let Hanigan move into scoring position? He just gave up. Good baseball, Jonny. You learn that stuff in Little League.

Average IQ for the team went up 11 points the day they traded Freel.

    Then they signed Gomes.

Anyone think they will let Bailey hit 100 pitches? I'd say no, but this is Dusty we are talking about.

I would hope not. But if he feeling fine and pitching well, it could be a good thing.

The problem is I don't think Bailey will ever request leaving a game. No matter how tired he may be.

I hope I don't jinx him, but D*MN Homer is pitching well.

I would not mind seeing a 1-0 ballgame. Its been awhile since there was a good pitching duel.

Yes, since yesterday when it was 2-0 going into the bottom of the ninth and the Reds only had one hit. =) To be fair the Astros did use just about every pitcher they had available to get to that point.
