Bats lost their fifth straight, 4-0. They've been shut out in two of those, and in four of them have scored two runs or fewer. Never thought that would happen.

    Dragons fall 6-4.

    Mudcats win 8-5.

Surprised to see Tzu-Kai Chiu starting for Bakersfield. He pitched only in relief last year, and so far this year.

I suspect Chiu may return to the bullpen. It's 13-0 San Jose in the fourth. Andrew Bowman has done his part, as well.

Out-freakin-standing. Won't be long before he takes Fisher's spot on the Reds' 25-man roster.

Doesn't it pretty much coincide with Sappelt's absence from the line-up?

    Just sayin'.
