    Reds at Astros (No Votto)(5/9/11)

    Stubbs 8
    Renteria 6
    Bruce 9
    Phillips 4
    Lewis 7
    Hernandez 3
    Valaika 5
    Hanigan 2
    Wood LHP

I'm guessing just a day off for the MVP.

Votto needs the day off. He is in a mild slump. Maybe the day off will help avoid a deep slump.

    *whew*

Picked the right game to go to. Tuesday nights. :O) Should get Homer and the front line starters. It'll be the first game ever for my 6 year old daughter Jordan. She's giddy with excitement. If she roots for the Astros, I'm leaving her in the car. *grin*

I'd love to swap Stubbs and Lewis, but not gonna complain.

Good time to give Joey a blow...he certainly needs one.

On the bright side...what are the odds that this Rodriguez kid only gives up 1 hit through 8 innings again?

Well there's probably more than one female poster on this board who isn't creeped out.

I wasn't going to say anything. Just way too obvious a target for ridicule.

I snickered like a 12 year old when i read that.
During my 18 years I came to bat almost 10,000 times. I struck out about 1,700 times and walked maybe 1,800 times. You figure a ballplayer will average about 500 at bats a season. That means I played seven years without ever hitting the ball. ~Mickey Mantle, 1970

Agreed, but other than that - win win win.

I'm glad Votto is taking a rest today.

I said yesterday Votto needed a day off and I am glad Dusty believes in me.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

We better knock him around this time around. Dusty's mixing it up so we don't see a repeat.

Dusty has always been known as a "Poster's Manager."
