    Re: Reds at Astros (5/11/11)

Before anyone gets all crazy, check these numbers out:

    Versus Wandy, career numbers:

    Jay Bruce - 1 for 20, 12 Ks, 0 BBs
    Jonny Gomes - 7 for 21, 2 HRs, 9 RBI

    Others of note

    Renteria - .500/.583/1.100 in 10 ABs
    Cairo - .444/.583/.556 in 9 ABs
    Votto - .333/.375/.467 in 30 ABs
    Stubbs - 1 for 13
    Janish - 3 for 9
    Ramon - 5 for 17
    Lew Ford - 2 for 3

Why does Yahoo show me Lew Ford's numbers? Is he still in the organization?

Interesting.. I've noticed Ramon has caught all of Volquez's games except one. Not that it's his fault or anything, but I didn't expect that when looking through the logs.

Hopefully Volquez can get on track vs the anemic Astros.. It would be awesome to go 7-2 on this Cubs-Astros 9 game series.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

Reds Pregame show just showed Janish and Rolen taking grounders at third, and throwing. They looked ok.

Jim Day says look for Rolen, Friday night versus St. Louis.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.
