Jim Bowden article up on ESPN about Reds rotation....

Decent read I guess. At least it's about our Redlegs. :O)

The Reds signed Cueto to a four-year, $27 million deal before spring training. Imagine the alarm when his shoulder started barking. But thanks to one of the best medical teams in baseball, led by Dr. Timothy Kremchek, they quickly put him on a strengthening program that has him healthy again and back on track to being a solid No. 2 starter.
I've got to admit, this gave me a bit of a laugh. *grin*

We think it's funny, but actually Kremcheck is considered one of the top three or four sports/orthopedic gurus in sports medicine.

He should be the best by now. He's had plenty of practice and/or job security within the Reds organization.

Other teams send their guys to him too.... There has to be a reason for it and it isn't because he is so cool (though he is).

    Jim Edmonds doesn't think so.

Maybe this was to make up for the time when Bowden accused the medical staff of "misdiagnosing" some injury to the media? IIRC, he had to sheepishly walk that statement back later, after they informed him what a serious, career-threatening accusation that was to a physician.

Either that or they're one of his sources.

I'm glad Jim Bowden has learned what a real number 2 pitcher looks, because he surely didn't when he was the GM.

    BINGO! You are a winner.

Other than that, I thought his analysis was pretty good. I think he hit Volquez, Cueto, Arroyo and the rest of the staff pretty much right.

Wasn't Kremchek trained by and worked for James Andrews at the beginning of his career. I've always heard good things about him, except for the Edmonds comments.
