If Votto gets hit intentionally, it'll come to blows and not just pushing and shoving.

In a way, it's probably a good reason to keep Gomes on the bench.

I don't care if Pujols or Nick Punto is batting, how could you possibly think Cordero would hit somebody with an 0-2 pitch in a 2 run game in the ninth inning?

I think what the Cards would say is that they aren't upset because they think he hit him intentionally, but that he doesn't know how to pitch inside. Its ludicrous, but that's what they seem to be complaining about. Of course, Albert slides in spikes up aimed at a shin and he's just playing hard-nosed baseball. CoCo comes up and in and hits the guy and he's a dangerous idiot. It must be hard being the only team that really knows how to play the game.

Votto's a bit of a hot head...they may want to think twice about that.

After all the drama today, lets not forgot the start Travis Wood gave the team. 3 AB's against Sir Albert and should have had him out 3 times save the Rolen error. As far as baseball was concerned, he was the hero today for me.
