The Reds offense really only needed one inning to defeat the Cubs, but MAN what an inning it was! That was sweet!

And in Kansas City ... Cleveland leads 17-1 in the 5th. Vin Mazzaro gave up 14 runs in 2.1 innings of relief!

That may be the ugliest pitching line I have ever seen in a box score: 2.I IP, 11H, 14ER, 3BB, 2K. That drove his ERA up to 22.74

If I just read the stats right for this game tonight, Coco got the last three outs on five pitches. That has to be a record for him, LOL

maybe it is a rope a dope type move. Rolen does that once in a while. Look foolish on one pitch to get it again and whack it. heisey sure didn't look like that's what he was doing.

In watching the highlights, I wanted to draw attention to the finishing end of Drew Stubbs throwing the runner out at the plate. Hanigan's smooth motion of receiving the ball and sliding his leg out simultaneously to block the plate was well executed - a thing of beauty.

Yes he did a great job. I also noticed how Soriano's legs are gone and that he slid like a girl
