Bats win 11-8. Carlos Fisher pitches two scoreless innings (1 H, 1 K, 0 BB) to finish the game and get the win.

Interestingly, the Reds and the Bats have similar records. Reds are 25-17, Bats are 23-16.

Baker has already said he's going to use Gomes as the DH for the interleague games but bringing up Alonso for that spot interests me more then Jordan Smith in the pen.

Sulbaran left after those five innings and amazing 13 K. Then Tim Crabbe threw four shutout innings, allowing just two hits, and Bakersfield won it, 4-3, on what must have been a loony, Cubs-like play leading off the eighth. The recap says Eric Campbell reached on an error by the shortstop and scored on an error by the left fielder.

That Bats game was unbelieveable. It went from Mike Griffin warming up to the bullpen to the Bats scoring five runs in two innings to getting hit after hit in extras. Great game. The guys were exhausted though.

I think it would be safe to say that Yonder has completely gotten his power back after the hammate injury eh?

    I think that's a pretty good assessment.

Wow, is Mesoraco good or what? Now at .319/.406/.538 - .944 after last night's 5-for-6 game. I'm really impressed with his 17 BB/25 K though. I can't wait to see him in Cincinnati.

Alonso, Frazier, and Mesoraco are all just about major league ready and Cozart is heating up as well.
