I would hope you didn't read panic in that statement. Just a question.

I think Stubbs has done a good, solid job overall this season. Like someone else said above, he's an odd player.
Rounding third and heading for home...

I agree. I just would hate to see any rash judgements come from just about 50 at bats. Every hitter hits a point in the season where they aren't as productive as other times.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Stubbs will be batting 7th before long after the Reds aquire Matt Kemp from LA.

    That's a fact.

I don't see him as being odd. He has good power, awesome speed, and strikes out a lot. That's what he is and that's what he's going to do over the course of his career.

He's also 3rd in MLB in runs scored and first among lead-off men, so even with his recent slump he's still been pretty good this year.

Stubbs is now 3 for his last 4, with 3rbis!

    Yay, small sample size!

Will this pace force them to reconsider the 1 hole, or do you think they'll ride with him no matter what? Would seem to be better suited for 7th at this point.
The 10 games before that he was on base at least twice in every game.

I think he needs a day off every once in a while
