Reds purchase the contract of Reineke, designate Cochran for assignment

As expected, the Cincinnati Reds have purchased the contract of right-handed pitcher Chad Reineke to start Tuesday. To make room on the active roster, the Reds have designated right-handed pitcher Tom Cochran for assignment.

According to Mark Sheldon's twitter, Cochran was DFA'ed.

Hopefully that's the last we'll see of Mr. Reineke in a Reds uniform.

Why do I feel like the clock has been turned back to 2008 and no one told me?

We'll probably see more crappy pitchers if the good ones are still hurt.

That was exactly what I thought when I saw Reineke last night. No disrespect to him. He did the best he could. But this really felt like most of the 2000's with the Reds.

The Lost Decade is a sleeping giant lurking beneath the shadows. We really do not want to wake him up, but last night was one of those nights where we were tiptoeing near his door.
