    Trade target: JJ Hardy?

Most of the focus has been on Reyes, and I just don't think that's going to happen for a variety of reasons. One potential option would be trying to get Hardy from the Orioles. He wouldn't cost nearly as much in prospects or salary.

Granted he isn't the player Reyes is, but he would be a decent improvement over Janish and Edgar. I could see Hardy putting up a .270 .330 .430 line at GABP.

Os are ready to spend $ and i think Hardy is a part of that plan to stabilize that roster next year...I dont think he gets moved...though i would take him in our lineup...

I would gladly take Hardy...I'm about fed up with the Janish/Renteria combo over there at short and would take about anything that is different right now. Definitely Reyes would be the best option, but the money just might not be there.

I'm not interested in Hardy. His best days are behind him.

But I do feel a SS upgrade needs to be made, offensively.

What about giving Cozart a shot before we trade anybody? His numbers are looking good at Louisville.

I agree with this. I would exhaust my options in left field (Sappelt, Frazier, Alonso, Francisco) as well before looking outside the organization. I would love Reyes, I just don't want to spend the farm in order to get him for a few months.

Not an upgrade over Janish....as much as it pains me to say.

Well, you're improving offensively but downgrading defensively. So it's hard to say. I think if we didn't have such a black hole in LF and unfortunately maybe even third base to a lesser extent, than Janish and his weak bat would be more playable.
