My comments have nothing to do with your reporting. Good job.

But that just shows me how pathetic the Reds were for that decade. Seriously.

Good job on the list. You didn't have much to work with.

    Re: All-Decade Team '00-'09

Thanks for the feedback guys, I really do appreciate it.

Yea, y'all are right on the money about not having much to work with....especially with the pitching staff. I didn't really realize how woeful some of our pitchers were during the 2000's.

I will say that we were blessed with some decent offensive players during the decade. Hopefully when we look back on the 10's one day we'll have more quality players to choose from (namely, the pitchers).

Acevedo was 16-21 with a 5.59 ERA in four seasons with the Reds ('01-'04). He was one I considered until I got to looking more closely at his numbers.

Sean Casey over Joey Votto 07-09?

Dude Sean Casey was a slow fat, over-happy, annoying player with inflated stats that never hit in the clutch (except 1999). He was a 1 year wonder.

    Lockdown11,

Can't argue with that list, a lot of solid players on there. However, keep in mind that Hamilton only played one season with the Reds ('07) and during that season appeared in just 90 games. He did post a .292 average with 19 longballs and 47 RBI's though.

I even considered Ryan Dempster who's recent success with the Cubs overshadowed his lackluster stats while he was in Cincy. In two years with the Redlegs ('02-'03) he posted an 8-12 record with a whopping 6.39 ERA in 35 starts.

Lastly, with respect to Ramon Hernandez I absolutely love the guy. He's clutch, he's solid both offensively and defensively, and he provides great leadership. With that said Ramon only played one year with Cincinnati in the decade ('09) where he saw action in 81 ball games posting a modest .258 average with 5 dingers and 37 runs driven in.

And Griffey Jr. on the bench? I know the guy didn't live up to his potential here in Cincy, but he did post some rather impressive numbers during his tenure here.

Again, thanks for the feedback though! It's fun talking about Reds history with you guys.

If you go by purely who's the better player, than yes Votto gets the nod. But since I had to objectively choose the list in someway I thought productivity and length of service to the team would be good measurements to go by.

I was joking, he's probably my least favorite player of the decade.
