Rice lefthander
Anthony Cingrani, LHP from Rice. Since he pitched for Rice, does that mean he's already hurt?

"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"

Wierd whipping delivery.

His hometown is New Lenox, IL near Joliet, called "The Home of Proud Americans" - Bill Cunningham will be all over that.Once uncertain of his future with the Owls, Cingrani made the move from starter to the bullpen and, armed with a virtually untouchable fastball clocked in the mid- to upper-90s, has emerged as one of the most consistent relievers in college baseball this season.

First to majors?
That is one funky delivery. Reminds me somewhat of a trebuchet.
Interested to here someone weigh in on his delivery. It looks like his arm should be shot by the end of June, but maybe it's just a quirk that won't affect him.

He isn't quite using that same delivery that he used in the video.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/...e/7571167.htmlThe Owls had Cingrani pitch in a summer league to work on his mechanics, and the process continued when he returned last fall. One day during the offseason, Pierce had Cingrani shorten his delivery with a more compact motion as they played catch on the concourse at Reckling Park. At the same time they also worked on another glitch — this one discovered by head coach Wayne Graham — that called for Cingrani to quicken his arm action in sync with his leg lift. The results: better control (10 walks in 50 innings) and increased velocity (from 86 mph last season to consistently reaching 90 to 94).
