    Question about trading deadline

A couple of "if's" in this question:

    At the Trade Deadline -

    1. IF the Reds are within striking distance of first place, say within 3 or 4 games....

    AND

    2. IF their is an Ace starting pitcher available, meaning their team is willing to deal them......

Do YOU THINK that BC and WJ will pull the trigger?

No. First an ace type pitcher will more than likely cost you too much of your MLB and/or AAA roster.

Second, an ace pitcher is usually only dealt when he is coming up on his free agency. I looked at free agent starting pitchers for this upcoming offseason and there isn't one that intrigues me enough to give up multiple prospects for in a trade. Maybe Mark Buehrle but that's a very big maybe.
