Yep, more starters results in more trading leverage. Teams are always looking for starting pitching, so this works in the Reds favor. By having multiple starting pitchers, the front office can determine which starters they want to go with and then trade accordingly. Chapman is a wildcard in this scenario. Running him out there every 5th day to get pounded due to both his lack of control and limited number of pitches in his arsenal (get it?) is not going to make him a better pitcher. No control results in poor pitching, whether in be in the bullpen or from the first inning.
im in the camp that he should be a starter. if he fails at that its gonna be easier to convert back to reliever than the other way around.
