Too many squandered opportunities, too many walks issued, batters failing to execute fundamentals, questionable decision making....plenty of blame to go around....either we get it straight VERY SOON, or we're done

But you want to blame the manager for that. Clueless as usual.
I do admire your loyalty to Dusty though....reminds me of my old dog who would follow me into a burning building.

"Excellent" response. It's not about loyalty. It's about understanding the in and outs of the game (of which you clearly don't get) then determining what went wrong. If you watched tonight and still think the manager is to blame then you're clueless.

Too many games we should have won, but didn't.

    They need a Veteran Reliever.
They could also use a SS with an OBP > 0.250.

That is on the "offense ain't our problem" manager, and on the GM, who continues to fiddle.

Meanwhile, Cozart is now hitting .327.

As much as I think that brm7675 is a fool (and believe me I think he is dumb as a rock), I might start to agree that some help is needed from Louisville at SS. Janish is completely clueless at the plate and Renteria can't be an everyday guy.

I like dusty but should have never have pitched to tejada in 6th. That should have been his call. Lefty was on deck and one run lead in this ballpark is huge. Coco would have pitched 9th and arredondo has had control problems lately.

Quite the contrary I absolutely blame the players, however to think that the manager is not also to blame is at best myopic.

    Bray IS% 6%
    Ondrusek 39% (now 42%)

I'm not even sure Dusty knows how to use the IS% stat...probably took him a while to understand what ERA was.

Agree with this. Especially since the rookie lefty was on deck in that scenario.

Ondrusek also has 11.1 more IP than Bray since Bray has been more situational which makes that IS% stat less compelling.

SF broadcasters commented that Dusty acted surprised that Wood threw him a strike. They didn't show the video though.

Yes. We have him, or a Veteran similar to him, and we get extra innings.

I'm pretty sure Walt is going to go out and acquire a Veteran Reliever over the next 21 days.

If the old saying is true that a team is gonna win one third no matter what, lose a third no matter what, the Reds aren't doing all that well on the third that could go either way. This seemed like a could go either way type of game. Lincecum up next. That should be fun.
Walt needs to get reinforcements. I don't believe the team, as currently comprised, has enough to make the playoffs.
Finally, how does a guy with the speed of Drew Stubbs not know how to bunt? Criminal.
