For the Giants
The lineup is pretty much settled upon at this point. 3 out 4 would make for a smiling Sunday.
The Reds should win this game looking at the giants line up but you never know with Volquez.
Every lineup is a Sunday special for the Giants these days. Burriss has 14 hits in 53 AB. All singles. His stat line is .264/.264/.264/.528. That makes me smile.
Just for fun I inputted the San Francisco lineups numbers into the lineup analyzer on baseballmusings.com.
It spit out that this lineup would average 3.2 runs per game.
Reds' lineup would average 4.2 runs per game.

Hot hitters against Sanchez:
Phillips - 3 for 8. All 3 hits left the ballpark.
Rolen - 3 for 5. 2 doubles and a roundtripper.
Renteria - 2 for 4 with a pair of walks.
Stubbs - 2 for 5.
Hernandez - 1 for 2.
I hope this doesn't turn into a Walk -a-thon with these two pitchers
The Gnats are goin' DOWN!
DOWN, damn it!

Volky being Volky
Reds record when attended in 2011: 0-1

WTH is Renteria in the game?!?!
I think Torres was forced off the bag by Phillips and we caught a break. I don't know that Phillips did it intentionally, but I think the call could have gone that way.
2 outs, Tejada at second.
0-0 after 1
Volquez throws 6,081 pitches in a scoreless first inning.
Ok, exaggerating, but I'm pretty sure he went 3 balls on every hitter except for perhaps Tejada.
The caught stealing and 4 pitch walk to Torres were breaks for Edinson in that first inning.
Giants offense needs help....
Bruce walks...c'mon Rolen
