Hamilton steals third and scores on a wild throw.....but it is all wiped out by a batter interference call on Yorman Rodriguez.

Go see the before and after of him. The changes are legit. As for him being Pujols, well no, that isn't going to happen. He will never hit for the power Pujols does. But the guy is about 195 pounds of athletic muscle who swings with very bad intentions and has a short swing that makes a lot of contact. He can hit. No doubt about it.

Lecure with a scoreless frame. He should be back up with the big club shortly.

Lotzkar: 8 K in 4 IP. My oh my.

Then Pat Doyle fanned the side in the fifth. That's 11 K in 5 innings for Dayton, which trails 2-1 in the second game.

Glad that Sapp didn't drop off after being out with the oblique.

Dayton only had four hits and two walks, but managed four unearned runs to win the second game 4-2 and sweep the doubleheader. Drew Hayes struck out the side in the ninth. Lotzker, Doyle and Hayes fanned 15 over the seven innings.

After issuing his sixth walk, Josh Ravin gave way in the fourth inning to Tim Crabbe, who walked the next guy. Bakersfield trails 2-0 after four. No Grandal tonight.

And an earlier correct, it's Jason Braun, not Ryan. However there is a pitcher named Ryan Braun. Anyway, sorry for that.

Valaika is now hitting .228. Not sure what's going on with him but he has fallen off the map. He had 2 errors tonight too.

I'll take responsibility for that. If it's any consolation, it was quick.

I'm geek'd about Sappelt. I think he's the real deal. Loved what he did in spring, and he's showing no signs of slowing down that's for certain.
