    2010 vs. 2011

Interesting...here was the standings this time last year..

    Cincinnati 36 30 .545- 22-17 14-13 329 318 +11
    St. Louis 36 30 .545 - 21-11 15-19 294 240 +54
    Chicago Cubs 29 36 .446 6.5 16-16 13-20 273 287 -14
    Milwaukee 28 38 .424 8 11-19 17-19 321 360 -39
    Houston 26 40 .394 10 14-20 12-20 226 333 -107
    Pittsburgh 23 42 .354 12.5 14-17 9-25 210 363 -153

    and here we are today...

    Milwaukee 39 31 .557 - 25-9 14-22 307 279 +28
    St. Louis 38 31 .551 .5 18-12 20-19 330 301 +29
    Cincinnati 37 33 .529 2 20-15 17-18 345 311 +34
    Pittsburgh 35 33 .515 3 15-18 20-15 258 263 -5
    Chicago Cubs 28 40 .412 10 15-20 13-20 281 347 -66
    Houston 25 45 .357 14 13-25 12-20 277 355 -78

Both the Pirates and Brewers are playing way above what they were doing last year while the other teams are about where they were at this time. Our offense has put up more runs and our pitching staff has given up fewer, but we also played 4 more games at this point this year then we did last year. The next 92 games should be interesting...

Stop counting the votes. Clint Hurdle is Manager of the Year.

I wouldn't stop counting yet Dave.

The Pirates still do have 94 more games to screw things up.

That said, if they even finish .500, Hurdle might be manager of the decade.
