    Well, Bell was confident when the roster was first announced . . . But I do think they're in much better shape now. I don't see them going over .500 as presently constituted, but I'd expect them to be competitive.

    Scott Carroll off to a solid start. Doug, I read your thoughts on him in another thread. I have higher hopes for Carroll than you do. I think he can be a starter in the bigs.

    I think he could be, but I don't think its going to happen with the Reds because of how far down the depth chart he is. Which is why I would like to see them give him a shot to be a higher leverage bullpen arm.
