Bakersfield fell in the 9th, 3-2, despite outhitting Visalia 11-5. Tim Crabbe took the loss but pitched well: 3.2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K. Greene, LaMarre and Means each had two hits.

Good to hear because LaMarre needs to start hitting. Sub .700 OPS when repeating High A is unacceptable for a real prospect.

He didn't have 30 PA's in A+ last season. He is hardly repeating the level. But yeah, he needs to start showing some sort of power, especially in the California League.

LaMarre was a pretty weak second-round pick last year. Hopefully he turns it around though.

I wouldn't say he was weak. He was highly rated by a lot of publications and was projected by some as a late first round pick. I wonder what his numbers would have been this year had he stayed in college with the new composite bats?
If you can't be a good example... then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
