With two men on, Leake induces a popup to end the inning.

    No sweat.

Sweet- I am out of town, and my iPad feed (MLB.com) is 30 seconds behind.

I have the same problem and I can't stand it. Somebody should tell MLB.com to fix that lag. It is very annoying.

    Scott Rolen strikes out swinging.

Bruce is up. I sense Jay is getting on target again.

So Jay strikes out swinging on a ball in the dirt.

On the other hand, I feel lucky to be able to hear Marty and JB ( yes, indeed) on the radio.

Aaron Boone is quite a good announcer doing color. He should be with the Reds broadcast team.

Gomes is up. Hellickson trying to strike out the sides.

    He does.

Anyone want to predict when and how Leake will implode this game?

What gives you that sense? He's pulling off everything badly. Everything being thrown away he's opening up against, which is a sign that he's in a major funk.

    He does.
A Boone was a very popular player here, and has a great personality; he would do very in that role here.

Last couple of games he seems to be making better contact, at least for singles and doubles. I assume the long balls will follow. Didn't look to good in that last at bat though.

As for Leake imploding, it's usually in the sixth or seventh. He's looking good tonight, though.

Jaso the batter, gets ahead 3-1.

Leake gets a ground out to Janish.

    Fuld grounds to Phillips.

Brignac gets an infield hit. Leake should have let it go foul.

I thought that, if nothing else, Brignac ran out of the baseline.

Nice sliding catch by Jay Bruce on Damon's sinking liner....

    After 5 innings, Reds 4, Rays 0.

Hellickson at 94 pitches, 60 strikes.
Leake at 79 pitches, 47 strikes.

You can run outside the line to avoid a player making a play on the ball.
