That plate appearance didn't net runs. That's the bad news. But the blessing in disguise is that it may have shaved the 8th inning off of Price depending on what happens in the 7th.

Looking more like they'll be keeping Reyes.

That was disgusting. We better have scored. I deserve some runs after cleaning up those "runs". Yuck.

Or not. Ground out to Zobrist. 1-2-3 yet again. Price at 105 pitches. I think he'll come back out. Shutout on the line...yep, they'll push him a bit.

The bats will wake up for their once-per-series appearance on Saturday vs. the Tribe, and not sooner.

Predictably, the RZ "the offense isn't the problem" crowd will credit Price and say it's hard to beat him. That argument would be far easier to make if almost every starter these days didn't completely shut this offense down.

With today's loss, the Reds are now alone in 4th place. Is it still "early"? Is it still comforting that we're only 4 games back?

I'll agree that the offense tends to be hit and miss. But I don't think it's unfair to say alot of the "miss" tonight is due to Price.

And this game is FAR from over.
