I know we talk about this all the time on these threads, but how ridiculous of a AAA lineup do you have when Chris Valaika is your #8 hitter? (And Dave Sappelt your #7.) I know Valaika is having a terrible year, but still. He would be batting second on most AAA teams.
Cozart walked to leadoff the game and scored on an Alonso single and some bad defense lol

This might have been the wrong night for me to sing the praises of Louisville's lineup considering they are going up against the top-ranked pitcher in all of triple-A.

FWIW, Phipps led off the game with a triple and scored the Mudcats only run. According to PK he has a 10 game hitting streak going.
Tom Cochran really has his curve working tonight. He's faced 4 and K'ed 4.
Going to the 8th, still 3-1 Braves
Eric Campbell, pinch-hitting, drove in a couple with a 2B and Carolina now leads 5-4 in the eighth.
Lotzkar had a decent start, the most important number being the innings pitched: 7 IP, 5 H 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K.
Dayton now trails 6-5 going into the bottom of the ninth. Barnhart has a HR.
Bats lost 3-1
0 for 12 with men in scoring position.
