I think this is the best lineup we could put out there

Yeah I like the lineup. I think I read Carp threw a buttload of pitches in his last start, I think we'll get to him.

He has thrown over 120 pitches in his last 3 starts! He said he felt stronger as the game progressed. He won 2 and got a no decision in the other (I think)

The best way to beat him is to hit balls to Theriot to kick around, thus driving Carp crazy.

I'm amazed that people are actively happy with this lineup, with the K king doing anything except riding the pine. I'd understand general apathy if there were no other options, but Heisey's homerun yesterday earns him bench time? Crazy.

And I guess Renteria barely squeaking one out at GABP earns him a little more playing time, with his veteran creaminess and all. A hit that would have been a routine flyball anywhere else.

    -sigh-

Votto was promised one "in his f***ing ear" the next time these teams met, after CoCo so clearly and maliciously hit Pujols ( ). I what type of a game we're going to see...

    Cards lineup:

    1. R Theriot SS
    2. J Jay RF
    3. M Holliday LF
    4. L Berkman 1B
    5. D Freese 3B
    6. C Rasmus CF
    7. Y Molina C
    8. S Schumaker 2B
    9. C Carpenter P

I think that this will be an interesting game and series - oughta be a hoot.

Carp probably will not bean anyone but there's a couple in the redbirds 'pen (Tallet & Motte come to mind) that could be trying to throw outside and bean a batter easily - no control from them at all...

Agreed about Renty...he is shot as starting player.

Seriously, strikes 2 and 3 to Renteria were way out of the zone. Awful.
“The crows seem to be calling my name,” thought Caw.

Does Thom Brennaman annoy everyone else as much as he does me?

I'm a little bit late to the party here. How was Cueto greeted by the "best fans in baseball?"
