Eddie Murphy appearing on SNL tonight

Big rumor. He has not appeared on the show in 30 years. 30 years? Has it been that long?

I'm not a big Howard Stern guy, but I love what he and his crew said about Eddie Murphy: "He's retired from being funny." Nonetheless, I DVR every SNL (one of only 3 or 4 shows I DVR) and look forward to this.

Looks like a bad rumor. The heard it on the local Los Angeles NBC News. So I thought it was going to be true.

Hasn't been quite 30 years anyway. He guest hosted in the 84-85 season (the one with Christopher Guest, Billy Crystal, Martin Short, etc.) to fulfill contractual obligations. Man, I'm old and remember weird things--I didn't look this up, but I'm sure of it.
