brought a tear to my eye

so it was only a regular season game in mid-july but still that considering the opponent, the fact that it was Phillips, and of course the current state of the season that was one of the most exciting finishes in my Reds fandom life...just sayin'

It was the highlight of the season, no doubt. One ups the Ramon walkoff on Opening Day. Now do something with it!

Pretty cool finish. I was watching the game with some buddy's at local pub and there were lots of high fives going around after the BP homer. That was one game that won't be forgotten for a while.

I gave my ticket away so a buddy could take his wife.

Kind of a reverse Good Will Hunting story, if you will.

It's definitely the jump-start this team has been lacking. But as mentioned, it doesn't mean anything if they don't use it to their advantage. That did take what would have been another heartbreaking loss and made it into a rather exhilarating victory.

exactly! They say momentum in baseball is a myth but if that doesn't get 'em going nothing will. 8 out of 10 and 15 out of 20 will get "us" right back where we need to be

Only thing better would have been this ending in St Louis. The fans there would probably riot if Phillips hit a HR to beat them.

If the Reds win the division this season, Phillips's home run tonight will go down as one of the most memorable moments in Reds history.

Had it been in STL, the Cardinals would have had another atbat in the bottom of the inning. The way this game was going, that would not have been a good thing.

LOL! I'm just thankful it's a mid-July regular season game that still means something to us! So many seasons, by mid-July, we're looking ahead to football season.

Ironic that they had a walk off HR in the season opener and had a walk off HR in the 1st game of the "2nd half"
