Drew Hayes with the win for Dayton as the Dragons prevail 12-8. Hayes is a stud.

Needs to go to Bakersfield and see what he can do. Same with Josh Smith.

AZL Reds prevail 6-2. Catcher Wagner Gomez hit his 3rd homer of the season. The switch-hitting catcher is now batting .295 for the year. Of his 13 hits, 8 have been for extra bases. He is slugging over .600 and his OPS must be over .950 after tonight's game.

Any chance of him sticking there? If so, his value skyrockets as a prospect. You need a good stick at 3B, but not nearly as big of a stick as you would need in a corner outfield spot.

Torreyes is a freaking BEAST! I am totally getting a man-crush on this young man. All he does is impress me...and then goes and makes me revise that thinking by impressing me even more. He's fast, plays great defense at a premium position, hits for average, hits for power, hits to all fields...I can't wait to see him moved up.

Let's see how he does in Dayton for the rest of this season first. If he tears it up for the whole second half, we can consider moving him to Bakersfield next year. May not be bad to reward Dayton with a stud again in 2012 for the first half and then call him straight up to Pensacola at the All-Star break, though.

I wasn't trying to suggest he be moved now. Just giddy with anticipation is all. :O)

Haha, as am I. AZL success is one thing, stepping it up in the MWL means a whole lot more. Here's to hoping Torreyes continues it through the rest of the season.
