Yes,I was thinking the same thing! Like how Walt got out from Crazy 8 by the explosion.

The symbolism of the dog was really interesting too. Throughout the series, the writers have symbolized Jesse as a dog, being lovable and loyal. This is shown with the episodes "problem dog" and more recently "rabid dog." And of course, Jesse relates his shooting Gale in his rehab meetings as having put down a dog.

As Walt is leaving in the van with his new identity and it goes over the horizon, the last thing we see is a dog crossing the street. I thought that was absolutely a powerful ending to this episode.

That episode was scarier than any horror movie I've seen. Did anyone else almost throw up when Walt, Skyler, and Junior were rolling around on the floor with the knife while Holly screamed in the background? The close ups of the knife with the baby crying may have scarred me forever.

I thought someone was going to get accidentally hurt. Walt Jr jumped in like a hero and manhandled his dad.

Remember the Ozymandias sonnet read to preview this season?

Well this episode was entitled "Ozymandias" which depicts the fall of empires.

Sure enough, a side-by-side of Walt after Hank was shot and the Ozymandias statue.

Wow what am amazing episode. This explains the scene I missed. We had a heavy downpour tonight and the satellite cut out for a minute right as Skylar was holding the knife and came back with Junior on the phone.
