I just started watching it from the beginning last night. I have never watched a single episode before. 1 episode in. Unlike all of you suckers, I will be able to just watch the series all of the way through without having to wait. Jokes on you!

Hold on again there Doug, please tell me you don't think I'm that much of an ass that you took my post seriously. Because I actually do envy you for being able to watch it all straight through. I watched the first 2 and half seasons that way but caught up live with the 3rd.

I didn't watch a single episode of LOST until the night of the series finale. In fact, about two hours after the show ended, I decided to see what the hype was all about.
While I agree it was nice to watch it at my pace and on my time, I do think I missed out on the water cooler discussion by doing it that way.

You probably did..... of course, my water cooler doesn't exist since I work from my home office and the only thing around that is alive (unless there is a spider hiding.... and he better keep hiding because I will end him) is my dog, who can't talk and hates seeing animals or moving lines (think of a loading bar on a video game, or a download of some kind) so he barks his head off at them. So I don't really miss out on those conversations.

One of my buddies mentioned he marathoned it and was entrhalled. I have always respected his movie/TV choices so I felt compelled. So glad I did! I do not watch much TV, just sports. So Netflix is a blessing to me.
The only shows I've watched every season / episode are:
X-Files (in real time)
Lost (Marathoned it)
Prison Break (Marathoned it)
Breaking Bad (Marathoned it)
House of Cards (so far)
NCIS (near real time)
That's about it. I need to look into "The Wire" you guys keep mentioning.
Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.
I had never watched The Wire until a couple of weeks ago when it got brought back up here. I had always thought about watching it but didn't get around to it. Finally, though, I started two weeks ago. I'm late in the third season and it's definitely a great show. I don't think it's as good as Breaking Bad, but I put it ahead of Sopranos.

Not as good? I guess to each their own. To me they're not even close, but as much as I enjoy Breaking Bad, I don't see it the same way you do.

They're different kind of shows altogether. the Wire wasn't a suspense, thriller show at all. BB is all that. Guess it's a matter of preference, but I have a hard time putting them on the same plane as far as overall quality, but that's just me.
