Nice. Good to see Mesoraco get it going. He's been relatively stagnant for a while.

I agree Mace, that is weird about Read. He was doing just fine in high-A (albeit a small sample size) yet they send him back to rookie ball? I know they don't want to disrupt the chemistry at Dayton, but that's weak. Just leave him at Bakersfield. It's not like they have an abundance of talent.

It was a temporary assignment from the get-go (not to mention a small sample size for Read). If your biggest concern is the amount of talent in Bakersfield, then I'd bet you that the Reds made the better call in signing Jorge Jimenez, who is 27 years old and has already dominated the California League.

Nice to see Janish have a good game. He'd been struggling for so long this season, you could tell he was pressing...HARD. I just hate to see a player struggle that way. I don't see him coming back up if Cozart continues to play the way he is, but I'd like to at least see him get back on track.
