Just saw this article, and thought i'd post it. Something I think is interesting is I feel like Jocketty has always been quick to say they will probably sit still in the past. So while he's not saying they will definitely do something, I think its at least worth noting that he's considering it a possibility. Seems different than his answers in the past to me, but maybe its just me.

I think he generally plays his cards tight-doesnt want to come right out and say we are desperate at a few postions and need something. I think most GMs see through it-at least a little bit- but it does give a little breathing room to negotiate. You dont go into a car dealership and tell them you have no ride and need something immediately, that gives them the upper hand as the one with power.

I don't think he'll trade for a big name prospect. He didn't want to give up any good prospects last year for Cliff Lee so why would he for shields or jimnez? lol doesn't make any sense
